MG Consultancy Delivers Official Partnership Establishment Guideline to Grassroots CSOs as Corporate Social Responsibility Contribution

As part of its ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), MG Consultancy has finalized and officially handed over a stamped Partnership Establishment Guideline document to grassroots Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) participating in the EU CSF+ funded project implemented by Welthungerhilfe (WHH), the Consortium of Self Help Approach Promoters (CoSAP), and the Development Expertise Center (DEC).

A Contribution Worth More Than Birr 450,000, Provided Free of Charge

The Partnership Establishment Guideline, valued at an estimated cost of over Birr 450,000, was developed by MG Consultancy’s team of professionals and provided entirely free of charge to benefiting CSOs. The document was refined based on detailed feedback and comments received from partner CSOs, reflecting a genuinely participatory and consultative development process before receiving its final, official stamp of approval.

MG Consultancy extends its appreciation to Dr. Amogne for his valuable technical contribution to the preparation of this document, whose expertise helped shape a resource of exceptional practical relevance to the sector.

Strengthening Ethiopia’s Grassroots CSO Sector

This guideline is designed to equip grassroots CSOs with the tools they need to:

  • Establish official partnerships through clear, standardized procedures aligned with EU funding requirements and international good practice.
  • Strengthen organizational systems and governance, helping CSOs meet the due diligence standards expected by donor organizations.
  • Support the delivery of programme objectives under the EU CSF+ project, reinforcing the goals of WHH, CoSAP, and DEC in building accountable, transparent, and sustainable civil society partnerships.
  • Build long-term institutional capacity, serving as a lasting reference for CSOs as they engage future donors, government bodies, and development partners beyond the life of the current project.

A Model for Corporate Social Responsibility in Ethiopia

Through this contribution, MG Consultancy reaffirms its belief that the private sector has a meaningful role to play in strengthening Ethiopia’s civil society landscape. By sharing high-value technical expertise with grassroots organizations at no cost, MG Consultancy aims to help bridge capacity gaps that many CSOs face and to demonstrate how professional service firms can translate their expertise into tangible community impact.

MG Consultancy hopes this initiative will encourage other companies and consulting firms across Ethiopia to embrace corporate social responsibility as a core value of doing business — contributing their professional skills toward the sustainable growth of civil society and the communities it serves.

MG Consultancy remains committed to supporting the Ethiopian CSO sector and looks forward to continued collaboration with WHH, CoSAP, DEC, and all partner organizations working toward inclusive and sustainable development.
