GENDER BASED VIOLENCE TRAINING

MG Consultancy successfully conducted a staff capacity building training on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) for Help Generation staff from November 4th to 6th, 2025. Three-Day Staff Capacity Development Training on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Safeguarding, and National GBV Standard Operating Procedures (SoP)This crucial training was made possible through the support of the EU – CSF+ fund.

Key Focus Areas

The three-day session was designed to equip Help Generation personnel with enhanced knowledge and practical skills for the effective implementation of GBV-related programs. A particular emphasis was placed on integrating essential soft skills, including:

  • Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Fundamentals (Safeguarding & National GBV- SoP): Comprehensive understanding of definitions, causes, consequences, and response strategies.
  • Leadership Skills: Developing effective leadership practices necessary for guiding and managing GBV initiatives.
  • Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Training focused on self-awareness, empathy, and relationship management to sensitively and effectively interact with survivors and colleagues, ensuring a trauma-informed approach to GBV work.

Impact This capacity building effort strengthens Help Generation’s team, ensuring staff are not only technically proficient in GBV interventions but also possess the emotional resilience and leadership acumen required to handle the complexities and sensitivities inherent in this critical work. The organization is now better positioned to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and impactful support services to those affected by GBV.
